Kharkiv theater to premiere play based on Maik Yohansen's novel

The "Nafta" theater is preparing the premiere of a theatrical extravaganza based on Maik Yohansen's avant-garde novel "The Journey of the Learned Doctor Leonardo and His Future Lover, the Beautiful Alcesta, to Slobozhanska Switzerland."

The staging will be unusual: the audience will sit inside, while the action unfolds around them along the perimeter of the space. The director is Artem Vusyk, a 2024 laureate of the Les Kurbas Prize.

The premiere will take place on 16, 17 and 18 October at 19:00 at the Some People cultural center, 1 Ivanivska Street. If you are in Kharkiv on those days, it is worth keeping this event in mind.
